Investment In Share Market , A Gamble Or A Science ?

A special seminar on the shares market Investment by  AENZ International will be held from 9 am on October 29 at the Chamber of Commerce and Industries auditorium of Galle. We contacted Mr, Harindu Dantanarayana, Chief Marketing Officer of AENZ International to discuss the details of this seminar.

What were the objectives of the workshop ?

Yes, our goal is to educate the business and non-business people in the Galle district about the  investment in the stock market.

Can anyone  invest in the stock market? What are the limitations? Do they need to have large amount of money in  hand?

Anyone in Sri Lanka can invest here. Also, foreign investors are in Sri Lankan stock market. And it can start with a small amount .

Is share market  investment is a gamble? or Science?

For those who do not know it is a gamble. But the stock market is a critical point in economy. If they are study and do investment it  will give you long term benefits.

What is the role of  Dealers?

Brokers are intermediate agencies in the Secondary market of the stock market. We hope to provide  details about their role  to the community in Galle district through our  seminar.

What are the issues that need to be considered when choosing a company to invest in the stock market?

Share is one piece of  ownership of a business. So if you really do, it will be a matter for you to decide which business  you will get involve in . So you really are a businessman.The only difference is that there is a board of directors to run business in a company. So there's a lot of factors that affect the value of a business that is big economic, political, and business operations. All these factors have to be analyzed and a company should be selected to invest.

We are going to teach all this stuff about this analysis.


What should investor do after investing in the stock market?

In fact, most Sri Lankan people wait until share  price change to react .They don't do financial analysis or market analysis .

But, if anyone put some effort to learn how to analyze these things. Then they can predict stock movement  from the analytics . So they can do rational investment decisions.


That's what we are trying to give attention  through our seminar.
